One of the first things I noticed when I came to Argentina was that a lot of Argentine people, regardless of age, were sitting in the park on the grass drinking yerba mate. Alone, in couples, or in larger groups. A thermos with hot water, a mate, yerba mate in a jar and possibly sugar in another jar is a must-have for most of most Argentine people.
